Important News Bulletin!

We need your help! On March 27, 2023, Iredell County Administration made changes that resulted in us not being dispatched to certain types of medical calls in our district. Prior to March 27, if you called 911 with a medical emergency, we would be dispatched to help you, regardless of the nature of the incident. That is not the case now. Included below is the initial letter we sent to the County requesting to be added back to all calls. The second letter in the response we received from the County. The third letter is the response we sent back to the County. The final letter is a public information release. We are also including a citizen complaint we received. The citizen’s name has been removed for privacy reasons. We have been told by the County that they have no intention of dispatching us to all medical calls again.

As a taxpayer funded fire department, we can not justify decreasing the level of service we have provided for the last six years. Each of you are paying for this service and you deserve it. If you feel that we should always be dispatched and respond in your time of need, please contact Iredell County Administration and request that we should always be dispatched to all medical emergencies in our district.

Thank you for the continued support!
